Gary’s latest C5 project has been as a Project Manager & IT Business Analyst for a group wide FATCA implementation. This has been a group led project for a large banking group. The role involved working with internal staff and external suppliers to look at existing client data, to see the potential impact of the US regulations on their current book of clients. And working with suppliers on data extracts to facilitate the US indicia searches across the client base.
He also manages and works on technical projects and last year completed an Internet and MI platform migration from Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to SQL 2008. He was responsible for migrating, and rewriting where necessary the 100+ DTS packages to a new managed SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) package framework, ensuring data consistency and code compatibility between the database versions.
Prior to working for C5 he worked on a variety of projects from, extracting data from legacy systems for portfolio valuation, creating client profitability solutions, analysing and mapping business processes for a finance department.
Background
Gary has 12+ years experience working in the offshore finance industry in a variety of roles. Starting out as a software developer, he has also held roles as a Business Analyst, Project Manager and Auditor. He has experience of working for large global banks, one of the big four accountancy firms and a legal and fund administration company.
