Matt is a business technology consultant, focussed on deriving maximum benefit from the pragmatic use of current and emerging technologies. He has extensive experience in software development and systems integration in a range of environments. Matt is an advocate of a 'simplest is usually best' methodology, and apply an common sense approach to technology projects. 
 
Background
Matt has 10 years' experience in application design and software development, with the past 7 years in the Guernsey financial services, insurance, local government and retail sectors, with primary experience in software and database development, in key technologies such as C++, .NET and SharePoint.

 

Recent work has been predominantly in SharePoint 2010 and the Business Intelligence suite (SSAS/SSIS/SSRS) with a focus on DMS, workflow, systems integration, business intelligence and management reporting.

 

Matt is a Prince2 practitioner and has project managed large application and infrastructure projects from start to finish. He holds a PhD in Remote Sensing & Computer Science, and has presented scientific research at International conferences to full auditoriums of technical and non-technical people.

 

Matt is at ease consulting at all levels of the organisation – from internal IS resource level up to board level.
