Data Centre & Facilities Administrator


As C5 Alliance continues to expand, this role will provide an additional level of support to the Datacentre & Business Continuity Consultant. The successful candidate will safeguard the security, care and availability of all the C5 Alliance Jersey premises and their fittings and equipment; ensuring the physical environments are maintained to the highest standards.

To do the job you will need… 

  • GCSE/ ‘A’ Level general education or to demonstrate equivalent abilities
  • To be Jersey Right to Work qualified
  • A clean driving licence

The sort of person we are looking for will have… 

  • Previous experience in a facilities role (would be beneficial)
  • Strong administration skills
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A focussed customer service approach, coupled with a professional and ethical attitude to conducting business
  • Proven time and problem management skills
  • The ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programmes – in particular Word and Excel applications at intermediate level
  • Previous experience of using a Service Management system or a similar computer application in a service environment
  • Experience of report writing and risk assessments
  • First aid and fire marshal training would be an advantage

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly reports for our hosting and business continuity clients as required
  • Working alongside the Business Continuity and Data Centre Manager to manage the ISO27001 accreditation for auditing policies and procedures
  • Assisting with the management and maintenance of all Jersey sites
  • Preparing weekly Change Approval Board minutes and managing the distribution
  • Creating and maintaining both client and internal procedures including access lists, hosting and business continuity documentation
  • Managing health & safety facilities training
  • Assisting with client reviews
  • Planning and ensuring maintenance plans are in place and performed
  • Managing business continuity test plans
  • Planning mechanical and electrical services
  • Acknowledging customer complaints or concerns, and escalating as appropriate
  • Arranging and implementing client Disaster Recovery invocations
  • Conforming with agreed processes, procedures and standards, with accurate and timely completion of associated documentation
  • Reviewing and ensuring internal Health & Safety requirements are in line with industry standards
