C5 Partners with Metaphor IT to host 2017 Channel Island Cybersecurity Summit

October 13, 2017

Local technology firm C5 Alliance will partner with Metaphor IT on Wednesday 18th October to host the 2017 Channel Island Cybersecurity Summit.  This one-day conference will encompass strategic thought leadership considerations for business decision makers, complemented by a separate technical agenda for those working on the frontline of cybersecurity.

The summit will feature specialist speakers from C5 Alliance and Metaphor IT, along with experts from Sophos, HPE, PhishMe, PenTestPartners and LogRhythm.

Aonghus Fraser, Group Chief Technology Officer at C5 commented: “The cybersecurity threat landscape is changing rapidly, so our aim at C5 is to provide insights and practical tools that Channel Islands businesses can apply to both their operational and strategic practices. We work with a range of organisations to develop their cybersecurity strategies and also help them to be implemented effectively, working alongside partners like Metaphor IT to ensure we have the highest level of specialist skills available.”

Stuart Grist, Director and Founder of Metaphor IT, added: “2017 has been a year of numerous high profile security breaches for some of the world’s most recognisable global institutions; from Wannacry to NotPetya, it is now more important than ever to consider the risk that a security breach poses to your organisation and to implement an appropriate defensive strategy. We are delighted to be working with C5 to provide advanced support for local businesses that are committed to taking their cybersecurity to the next level.”

The event takes place on Wednesday 18th October between 11.00-15.00 at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in Jersey. Event registration has now closed.
