C5 Alliance, the largest technology solutions provider in the Channel Islands, has unveiled plans for its first of its kind technology conference, Digital-X, including bringing a host of international speakers to the islands for the event.

Richard Potter, Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft Enterprise Services, Kate Wood, Co-Founder and Director of Culture at Engage Your People, and Simon Wilson, Chief Technology Officer at Aruba Networks, will deliver keynote addresses at the event.

The one-day conference will dive deep into the world of digital business, going beyond the buzzword of Digital Transformation and making real sense of transformation through business use cases, common challenges and inspirational ideas.

Richard is a renowned keynote speaker who works globally with senior business leaders on a range of digital transformation challenges and has a passion for building innovative enterprises. He works with Microsoft’s customers to give them clarity and confidence along their digital journey ensuring they achieve measurable results.

Kate is a strong advocate that everybody has the power to maximise their potential in a performance-driven workplace, combining the power of culture and technology. Working as Culture Director for Chess, a £120m-turnover tech business and first in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work for list in 2018, led to the success of her company ‘Engage’. The employee-engagement tool blends sentiment and analytics to enhance the culture of an organisation and increase business performance.

Simon’s address will advise businesses on how to design smart and secure workspaces that maximise business productivity, drawing on his experience of network design and electronic engineering.

Scott Workman, CEO at C5 Alliance, commented: “Digital transformation integrates technology into all areas of your business, fundamentally changing how you operate, how you deliver value to your customers and the culture of your organisation. With a rapidly evolving digital landscape comes the need to properly harness digital technologies and put them into effective use.

“We are thrilled to have secured such high-calibre keynote speakers and we hope to help fast-track Jersey and Guernsey’s evolution within the digital world.”

Digital-X will offer insights and education and showcase best practice to attendees, providing a chance for the business community to ask questions during breakout sessions and get advice about key areas such as cloud technology, data management and protection.

The Digital-X event is open to businesses based in Guernsey and Jersey and will be held on 24 September between 8.30am and 5.30pm at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Jersey.

Digital-X conference is run in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Rubrik.
