Who was the client?
ABN AMRO (Channel Islands) Limited, a subsidiary of the Dutch banking group ABN AMRO N.V, was established in Guernsey over thirty years ago. They pride themselves on the straightforward principles of being client oriented and providing a personalised banking experience that is synonymous with the delivery of bespoke services.
Client Requirements
The client required consultant business analysts to undertake a holistic review of their IT department and to assist with the transition of a new CTO.
The client also required a short-term strategic assessment of how C5 could assist the IT department moving forward.
What did the project involve?
The analysis was conducted utilising key elicitation and analysis techniques including observation, interviews and workshops. The department’s capabilities were assessed against industry best practice and areas where the client could make improvements were highlighted.
A short-term strategic assessment of how C5 could assist the IT department going forward was also developed based on the analysis.
A Departmental Audit Document was delivered and presented back to the COO and IT department head at the end of the analysis.
Length of Project
The analysis was conducted over 5 working days, utilising two consultant business analysts.
Project Success
The analysis was delivered on time and within budget. The holistic nature of the analysis led to the department having a greater understanding of the activities conducted by individuals and highlighted where single points of failure existed. ABN AMRO (Channel Islands) Limited utilised the analysis to future proof and restructure their team and processes.
