Chris previously worked for the company within the Jersey Operations teams. During his time as an Operations Technician, he built a good report with clients and gained knowledge of systems including IBM AS400, Citrix, Active Directory, Windows desktop, server. This ultimately led to Chris moving to the C5 Service Desk, where he was able to spend more time communicating with clients to deliver positive resolutions.
Chris was then offered the opportunity to work for a local primary school, in an infrastructure capacity to work alongside C5’s ESC Team. He enjoyed working with the client to further the school’s technologies, where he assisted in the transfer of client services to C5’s Managed Services.
In his infrastructure role, Chris taught coding to 5 – 11-year-olds and ran the day-to-day operations of the student /teacher IT infrastructure. This role helped Chris to gain experience in managing his own workloads and risk assessment.
Chris moved to C5 as an Infrastructure Engineer for Managed Services where he then progressed on to become the Service Desk Manager. As the first point of contact for most clients, Chris enjoys working on a reactive level to handle any day to day requests and getting to know clients to provide the best service tailored to them. He is currently working towards the CMI Level 3 course to progress his career in management with C5 Alliance
Fun fact: Before starting at C5, Chris spent the summer of 2016 travelling around Canada.
