Graham Clark

Graham is primarily responsible for the production of customer quotes and procurement across Guernsey and Jersey. He has worked in the IT industry for over 30 years, originally based in London before moving to Jersey in 1989 and then on to Guernsey in 1994.

He started out working on IBM 370 and 4300 main-frames both as a Systems Programmer and as an Applications Programmer, often contracted out to financial institutions. After nearly 5 years in this environment, Graham moved on to working with IBM mid-range computers including System 34/36/38 machines. Shortly after that, he was co-opted to work with IBM on the launch of the AS/400, culminating with the UK unveiling at the NEC in 1988.

Graham then specialised in the IBM AS/400 arena as a Senior Technical Consultant supporting Sales teams in pre-sales, configuration, installation and setup. In addition to this he was responsible for customer support and trouble-shooting often performing hardware and software upgrades and fixes.

When the popularity of these machines began to decline, Graham had the opportunity to move more into a sales role and trained in HP servers and storage in order to provide technical support for Account Managers.

Currently, Graham produces quotes and procures both directly with customers and the C5 Alliance Customer Relationship Managers.

Fun fact: Outside of work, Graham is an enthusiastic mechanic and enjoys riding a selection of road and trials bikes.
