Rob Leader

Rob began his career as an Industrial Chemist, before moving to Jersey and commencing a high-profile management career that has seen him drive success at local institutions including the Royal Jersey Golf Club and at Fort Regent. Rob personally played a lead role in the introduction of the Active Card scheme, which still has over 3,000 members.

Since 2000, Rob has worked within the local technology sector. His background in both Account and Project Management mean that he is experienced in using a blend of proven technical solutions, business processes and working to pre-defined frameworks governed by compliance and best practice.

As Managing Director across the C5 Alliance Group, Rob utilises his 40 years of experience in management to both lead and empower his senior leadership team. His open and honest style has earned him the respect of his peers and colleagues alike. With a keen eye for nurturing talent, Rob has personally overseen the promotion and development of most of the C5 Alliance Directors.

He has also restructured the company over time so that every division is represented at Board Level. Rob recognises that the future of C5 Alliance lies in the promotion of talented team members to strategic positions across the Group.

As a strong leader, Rob has directly managed key business acquisitions to the C5 Alliance Group including Cronus Consulting and ITEX. His calm demeanour and strong business acumen have ensured that these and other acquisitions, including the Altius CI brand in 2015, have remained profitable and integrated new teams within the C5 Alliance cultural ethos.

Rob’s natural affinity with people and infectious passion for sports, including golf and cycling has made him a familiar face to many across the islands and a natural champion for C5 Alliance CSR efforts. This has helped with fundraising to the tune of £50,000 for Macmillan. This is also notable in his 17 years as Director of the Jersey Recreation Ground, where he has overseen a regeneration project that completely transformed the area.

Rob is heavily engaged with the Chamber of Commerce and Institute of Directors, also representing C5 Alliance by sitting on the Digital Jersey Steering Committee. He has sat on a variety of client IT management bodies and provided guidance on IT strategy.

Fun Fact: Rob is an avid cyclist and golfer, with a handicap of six and was previously Captain of the Jersey Royal Golf Club. Keen to challenge himself, Rob will cycle the Marmotte trail in 2017.
